Capiz is a province in the Philippines located in the Western Visayas region. It is known as the Seafood Capital of the Philippines. Its holds one of the country’s richest fishing grounds and it’s a major contributor to the aquamarine industry. And shells are one of their sea foods that capiz can be proud of. This can be made as flowers, pendant, accessories, bracelet, home décor, etc. Capiz boast of its coastline and expanse of swampy land, easily covered into fishponds. That capizeños may use as their main livelihood.

            There are many captivating places here in capiz, beaches is one of those spots that tourists visited. It is good for everyone who wants relaxation. Baybay beach is one of the biggest beaches in province of Capiz and it is located at Capital City of province, Roxas City. It is a good place to visit, because of its black sand and has beach houses, motorboats for boating and fishing. There is a lot of convenient resorts where everybody can take a rest.

Aeta! Aeta or what we call Ati in our dialect. Aeta probably derived from the word “it” which in various Philippine language means “black” as inferred from the Tagalogs term itim and the Visayans term itom. They are indigenous people who live in scattered, isolated mountainous parts of Luzon. Their traditional clothing is very simple. But because of contact with lowlanders, most Aeta today have adopted the t shirts, pants, rubber shoes, and sandals commonly used the latter day. Aeta’s are considered to be Negritos, because of their dark skinned, a curly hair, and a small nose. Aeta’s were included in group of people termed “Negrito”.

In times of famine they tried to reach the provinces, like Capiz. They look for food to eat and place to stay. Many of us, can see some Aeta that coming near us, we tend to escape. It’s because we are afraid to them, because we think they will harmed us. Their dark color can keep us scared and be far from them. But they are people that indigent. Need a small help from us, giving some foods to eat and some coins can survive their one day hunger.

            When I was in my elementary I have my attitude of being quiet all the time, especially when I’m in school. I am not participating in our class discussion. I am afraid to be called by our teacher during oral recitation. It is because I am afraid that our teacher will get angry with me when my answer is wrong. So I always preferred to be quiet. During my young age, all the time I enjoy playing with my friends and classmates.

            As I grow up and I’m in my high school life, my attitude was changed. By the influence of my friends and best friends I learned a lot of good things from them. With my best friends I know how to make friends and be friend with them. They are always there when I am down and need to be comforted. I also know how to be strong as a student must have.

            We all know that high school life was the most memorable stage of being a student. Many things we learned not only in times of our lessons but also in making bonding with our friends and classmates. For me this moment is unforgettable because of the things. I learned more, for the weakness I have that I truly change, and to express myself for what I am.

Every one of us have their frightening place but different in cases. My frightening place is the land of Mindanao. I always get frightened when I encounter of Mindanao in any forms of news, maybe on TV, radio or even in a newspaper.

I just get frustrated to see rebel’s who where killing their fellowmen without thinking if it is an old one or an innocent children. It’s the place frightens me because peace and respect do not take at all, because of certain indifferences. Rebels believe that the Christians are treating inferiority. It’s creating a horrible scenario in each and every one of us which lead to fear when we hear the place of Mindanao.

            

Being quiet can make us bored. Especially when we are at home and nothing to do. But in my case I loved to listened music when I’m busy, and doing something. With music it can makes me relaxed. I like to listened music when I’m doing some work. Soft music is my favorite. But sometimes I also like rock love songs and Filipino artist who composed R & B music. All this music I like is made me calm and makes my work easy. I can’t feel the tiredness of being busy.

             Another thing is when I’m feeling sad and get mad with my friends, family and other people. Sometimes in listening music I forget those things that it makes me mad. I felt that I easily forgive them. Because when I listened my favorite music and other songs that can caught my attention it makes me feel being empty. Sometimes through music we can express what we feel inside.

         Teenagers and children enjoy visiting at carnival where we can find kinds of rides like Ferris Wheel, roller coaster, and lot of shows. Other groups that manage this, are visiting in any barrios where there is a fiesta that held.  Many of us are excited to go in that particular place. Children are mostly excited than teenagers like me. But its my choice for being excited too, to ride in a roller coaster.

          My first ride in a roller coaster was during my grade school. At first I felt very nervous and scared, because when you can see the roller coaster moving and turning you will think you will fall down. But it was also exciting. I’m with my tita and my cousin during that time. When it is our time to ride my heartbeat beats faster than its normal beats. As we go upward we can see everything. It was good and the ride was thrilling. It is a once in a life time experience I’d ever had. This experienced I will never forget. It makes me feel like a child, who cares what life I have.

              To have a priced possession is just a natural thing in many people. We loved those things so we take care of it. As I grew up I never had a thing that I loved and treasure. But I rather take good care of all things that I have. Whatever it is expensive or not, given by my friends, my family or other people. Because all of those things that I care of, the giver think and feel that they also important part of my life. If somebody let me choose only one thing that I very much loved and must be treasured, I choose my bag. My bag, because I can carry all my personal belongings. And I can carry, it anytime, anywhere. I became very attached to my bag that I couldn’t leave the house without it.

Being ambitious is not bad to dream of. Every individual have their own ambition in life. To dream is natural in people like me. I have also a place that I dreamed about. In my whole life I’ve never go in a placed that I want, maybe because it is impossible to happen. But I dreamed to visit and tour in other countries, to see and compare their places and status in life in our place. To know what kind of people and attitude they have. I’d like to be acquainted other people and be their friends. I am also curious about their life especially those place where it is so cold, how can they live in the place or in a house that full of iced? Maybe we are all the same human being but not the same with what we’ve naturally born. Other people go out, of our country, because they say that life in other country is so easy. And that’s the one thing I want to discover. Yes, in dreams you can go to any place you wanted, but make up and chase those dreams.

            When I am sad and I want to be alone, I want to go in the place near water like in front of the river. When I have my problems I simple go near the river and watch over the flow of the water near also in our place. There I can think much well what next to do to solve my emotional problems. There maybe it can keep the fresh air and the flow of the water where it comes and it ends can temporarily forget my problems. I can also express my feelings without any people can see me. This place where I can also truly sight the beauty of our nature. It is a kind of place that perfect for people like me who wants and deserves to be alone when problems affects me too much.
